GSRX 2 Multiple-Use Crime Scene GSR Mapping Kit

The GSRX 2 Multiple-Use Crime Scene GSR Mapping Kit is a professional-grade forensic tool designed for the spatial detection and pattern mapping of lead-based gunshot residue (GSR) at crime scenes. Using Lumetallix’s patent-pending photoluminescent technology, this kit enables real-time, on-site visualization of GSR presence and distribution patterns through bright green luminescence under UV light. It provides presumptive screening results and is not a replacement for laboratory confirmation when required.

Instructions for use

Ensure a low light environment for testing
2.
Always wear nitrile gloves to prevent contamination
3.
Illuminate the test area with Lumetallix LeadLight™
4.
Spray GSRX 2 Detection Reagent on the test area while shining the LeadLight™
5.
Observe the visual result: green luminescence indicates presence of lead-based GSR on the test area. The spatial pattern provides further contextual information.
6.
Add an evidence label to the test area.
7.
Photograph the area under UV light for documentation
Instructions for use
Maintenance and reusability
This kit is designed for multiple uses. Reseal all bottles after each use and ensure LeadLight is switched off and batteries are maintained. Avoid contamination by not touching reagent tips to surfaces. GSRX 2 Detection Reagent Dripper can be used to refill the sprays.
Interpretation of results
Bright green luminescence under UV light indicates the presence of lead-based GSR. The shape and spread of the luminescent pattern can offer additional contextual information for reconstruction of the event.

Dispose of contents and container in accordance with local regulations. Contact local services or the original distributor for more info.
Limitations and notes
- This test detects leachable lead-based GSR only.
- Always wipe tested areas after use to prevent surface damage.
- Luminescence may fade under ambient light; document promptly under UV.
